Making an WRT54g router an accesspoint

Hello Everyone,I was wondering if it was possible to connect two wireless WRT54g routers together wirelessly? Currently my main router is a Linksys WRT54g version 6 series with signal boosters. My main goal of the second router would be to turn it into a wireless accesspoint that would be on a DMZ if possible and communicate to the main router wirelessly. ( I am not allowed to drill holes in the house for a wired connection) I have looked online and the only thing I have found is that this is possible through a wired connection between the two routers because the WRT54g series does not have wireless bridging capabilities. I have found a 3rd party firmware (DD-WRT) that would allow this to happen, however I would like to stay away from that if possible. Has anyone here managed to do this with the Linksys firmware, or would I need to go that third party route? Thank You
