Windows corrupt hard drive

A little while ago my computer was infected by a virus that made me format my hard disk and reinstall windows. but i cant reinstall windows because whenever i try to the setup says my hard drive is corrupt. i have tried 3 different windows disks and they say the same thing. But i was able to install linux just fine so i dont know if my hard drive is corrupt. i have no problems with linux but to do my school work i need openoffice and to get open office i need internet. But to get internet i need to use my bluetooth adapter. and to get that i need to get on the internet. So i an stuck. can you guys help me get windows working or linux on the internet. by the way i an posting from my cell phone son my responses might take a whileWindows corrupt hard drive

i think the virus is still in ur hard drive even tho if u reformat it. most viruses are programmed to infect windows operating systems, that's why i u were able to install linux just fine. and just to let u know that reformatting doesn't actually delete all the files in the hard drive.
Ok how do i get rid of the virus
hmm... u scan it with a virus scanner with updated definitions but not sure if it will be able to detect and remove it. or u can use ERASER or KILLDISK to completely delete all data in ur hard drive but this will take hours depending on the capacity of ur hard drive.
Hmmm. ill try to get one of the thing to eras my hard drive. but is there anything that i can do with linux to try to fix it. remember that i cant get online with my computer right now own my mobile phone
the only way to remove a virus is by using an antivirus software to detect and clean or delete it. not sure if there are available antivirus for linux since linux don't really need an antivirus. most viruses/malwares are created for windows.
Oh well. i guess im not in a good place until i can borrow someones computer................i wonder if a magnet would work............:-):-):-):-):-):-)
You just need to delete the partition and recreate it prior to installing Windows. The Windows setup disk allow you to do this.

I cant get that far windows says the hard drive is corrupt right before it goes to the menu that says press enter to install or press s for recovery.
