Ok so here is the deali currently have a dell 9200 with: 1gb RAM2.2Ghz Core 2 DuoNvidea 7900gsso here is the porblem, my birthday is on the eleventh and i dont know what to do!i really want a new Desktop but im already getting a macbook pro in January that my parents are buying for me which i need for school (im 16 so dont laugh!) and it would be a bit unfair if i splurged on a new Desktop for my up coming birthday so i dont know what to do! Should i say screw the laptop and buy me a new desktop? or should i just install windows on my mac and use that for gaming? or should i do a mini upgrade for my desktop? (about $300worth)Any help would be apreciated!Need Help Pretty damn bad
I think you'd be fine with a little upgrade. Another gig+ of Ram as it's dirt cheap, and I've seen GTX 260 deals hovering just over the $200 mark, that card would be a monster upgrade vs the 7900gs. Just make sure your psu could handle a better card though. Definitely no reason to dump the laptop and go all out on an entirely new pc. Need Help Pretty damn bad
What kind of school does a 16-year-old attend that requires a laptop, and a Macbook Pro nonetheless?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220379 Get that laptop if you need one for school and still want to game. its much cheaper than a MacBook Pro and good for gaming too.
go with a macbook

[/QUOTE] Concur. That laptop will do everything for school a macbook would do, and smoke any macbook for gaming (and probably even your desktop).Buying a macbook would be an inane waste of money.
I was going for a mac book cuz i am pretty damn good at messing up my computer cuz of different stuff and the mac OS is easier to use and it looks better than the average computer.i think ill upgrade to 4 gbs of RAM, 600watt power supply and a 4850what do u think?
