Good Gamepad for PC?

I am looking to replace my ps3 with my pc. I have a vid card with hdmi output to my tv. so I would like to get a gamepad (wireless preferably, if not a long cable :) ). does anybody know of some of the better models out there? its ok to spend a little extra if it means a better product.thanks for any help Good Gamepad for PC?

is it just the same thing? it says it works with xp, does it also work with vista?

get the 360 controller. wired or wireless. i snagged a used on in like new condition for 12 bucks.use switchblade to configure it if you need.
