Ethernet Network Cable

So I need an ethernet network cable for my LAN. I need around 15ft. Are there any brands I should avoid? Any brands that are known to be quality? Any specifications I should be looking for or anything how to detect a cable is crap/good?Ethernet Network Cable
They all work the same, get it on eBay unless you want to pay lots of unnecessary money!Ethernet Network Cable
At '15 you shouldnt need to worry about line quality in modern CAT5. They only quality issue is wether or not the little locking clip will break the first time you use it. I've seen top of the line cables as well as ones I made do that. Nothing you can really do about it other then leave it as is or make a new plug for it. Other than that, unless you start pushing '100 (really '200 or more but I'm being extra conservative here) or more at home, then almost any TP based CAT5 will get the job done for you.
Thank you guys, I suppose that's all I needed to know.
I do have another question, power search on newegg lists 5e next to 5e Crossover. What's that crossover?
If you dont have a switching hub then you want a crossover to connect two computers directly with CAT5. More or less it's not anything to worry about if you are using a router or directly connecting to a Cable/DSL modem. Just get standard patch cable and you should be set. All modern routers have switching hubs built in so patch works in place of crossover cables in most cases.
• bad acne
• restart problem because of graphics settings.

2 - 3 weeks ago, I got an ATi Radeon HD 3650 graphics/video card.I love the graphics output on it, but when I set the Anti-Aliasing level to 2X samples per pixel when I'm running a game, the computer just up and restarts. It doesn't do that when I set to 4X or 8X samples per pixel, but for some reason it doesn't accept 2X samples per pixel. It ust resarts. No warning. Just, nothing. Can someone help me?Thanks in advance.

if your on a low budget get a 9600GT 2 gigs of ram keep xp grab a E2180 oc it put it in a 50$ coolmaster caseand grab a Nvidia 650i mobo
Pretty weaksauce build if you ask me. What exactly is your budget?
i'm the guy who wants 2 buy that PC,and i repeat,i want something ''on budget''
You cant really get a whole new PC ''on budget'' and expect to take on Crysis.
Well, no, I don't think it would, even on low settings. You need at least 2GB ram for one. For two, That card is really, really weak. The 8500GT barely runs crysis on low, so I wouldn't get anything slower than the 8500GT.
BTW, the 8500GT IS budget. You should be able to afford that card easily, even if you're in egypt. If not, that's terrible and I wish you the best of luck.

The reason I am looking for a new one is Dell stuck me with a Nvidia 8300 GS; and sometimes programs stop responding, my mouse works but I can't click on anything. I love Nvidia and ATi so I will accept either one but no one else. No more than $700! I will buy from Newegg, TigerDirect, eBay, or anywhere else in mind! Some friends told me this would be a good card and also told me about 4870 X2 ATi 2 GB..but I need the best of the best.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150306 Looking for a New Video Card!
yes that is a extremely good card the best card out right now.Looking for a New Video Card!
oh btw it will shred that 400w power supply your looking at 750w PSU to run this card.
That is a good card but I would go for the 9800GX2 since your limit is $700 :) The GX2's are very good just make sure your case has lots of case fans and your gtg :D
If you're still using the power supply Dell used, you're going to have to replace it. When I opened my father's Dell to put in an extra fan, I discovered that there was only one extra CD/DVD drive connector free. Dell gives you one that's enough to run what they put in it and nothing else except an extra DVD/CD drive.

If I feel like I am too tired to get all that, I might as well go for one of these.http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_buyprebuilt_us2.html I'll probably go for the Biohazard Nuclear Winter with the highest specs and it's about $12,000 something.
first of all you have a low end CPU with low end parts, that means you have a low end Dell and thus a small tower rig. theres no way high profile card will fit it yet alone the Ati HD 4870x2. second are you even sure you can replace the PSU, Dell dont let you on their low end machines and they might be using BTX. The most important piece of information you left out was what Dell model it was...im also surprised that no one else picked up on any oth these major points and went straight into giving him links...
A Dell Inspiron D530, It's up there. I might as well buy a new PC then. I am going for the Nvidia prebuilt Biohazard Nuclear Winter at highest specs. Which is arround $12,000 and I will be able to afford it soon. Just waitin for meh check.

There are actual guides and links to parts to build PCs that will kick Crysis' ASS for 2,500. Just google ''2500 dollar gaming rig''. I just saw it this morning. If you are too lazy.... I guess you could throw that kind of money away... your choice.

will pc play COD WORLD AT WAR?

I know the game hasn't come out yet, but, do any of you techies out there think I can play that game on my old rig? I just read an article about COD WAW and a guy from Treyarch said they were making the game so that quad core cpu's can take full advantage of the graphics and such. Does that mean my dinosaur, AMD single core 2.2 ghz, 2g ram @ 333mhz, Gigabyte GA-K8NS mobo, and AGP 7600gt are not up to playing it OR just not up to playing it in all its' glory like COD4 that I'm playing now, at low settings? Start ur noodles..... now!will pc play COD WORLD AT WAR?
The fact that you're running a single-core may present problems. I would recommend upgrading or building a new PC because 2008 will be one of the most memorable years of gaming. will pc play COD WORLD AT WAR?
No offence but I think if you want to consider yourself a pc gamer now a days you should atleast have a computer with dual core and 2 gigis of ram. As well a a 7 or 8 series nvidia card or similar ati card. Games to day are demanding. Like I said no offence if you cant afford it or you just play old games then good for you.

Gears of War has stopped working....

I recently sold my x360 and bought a brand new PC which I'm so far quite happy with but to day I bought gears of war and I'm absolutely unable to run it.The installation process took around 40 minutes to complete and I'm not so sure it actually completed. After the painfully slow ''decompression of files'' was done the installation simply ended. No ''Finish'' button, no ''would you like to view the readme file'' crap, it just ended. The game doesn't even pop up in the start menu :S
Despite of that I can still run the game from the autostart menu, when you insert the disk, but it shuts down after around 2 minutes and I get my all time favorite windows vista message ''Gears of War has stopped working''....and after about 10 seconds it tells my that the only option is to end the program....I have already tried reinstalling the game and I have my latest video card driver (since the game requested me to install it).My computer specs are:Intel Q6600 - 2GB DDR2 800-RAM
eVGA 8800GTS 320MB (exchanging it out for a 8800GT tomorrow)
Windows vista home premium.I tried gearsofwar.com but I was unable to find any tech support. All other games seem to run fine. I've tried google but pretty much all of the results are from people with faulty x360's. Has anybody here had any problems with this game and perhaps knows a way to solve this??Also: In those 2 minutes I've got the game running I messed around with the video settings and I was unable to set the resolution higher than 1440x900 :S - Is that really the max resolution for this game? ----------------------EDIT: After installing the game 3 times it seems to work by starting it from the games directory but not the autorun menuI still can't set the resolution any higher though. Where the hell is my 1680x1050 epic??Gears of War has stopped working....
As you'll probably already know you're not the only one with this problem, the gears of war forums are flooded with the same complaints as yours.I myself had the same problem, first time I installed there was no screen to confirm the installation was sucssessful,I couldn't view the read-me file and there was no short-cut on desktop, and to top it off it would return to desktop 30 seconds after starting. To cut a long story short, after uninstalling/reinstalling the game 4 times and waisting the best part of a day with this thing I finally got it working,BUT it has some horrendous stuttering and screen-tearing even with v-sync enabled.Epic should be ashamed of themselves for releasing a game in such an appalling state, but thats what happens when you don't hold open beta-testing and release a demo prior to launch. You're best chance is to hold off until it is patched and some new drivers come out to correct the graphics issues,or if you've got a free day sometime soon you could just do what I did and hope you get a clean install.P.S sorry about the wall of text, but I'm f****** angry that Epic have let this happen.EDIT-The max res it goes up to on my comp is 1400 by 900,but thats becuase itsthe max res of my monitor, maybe someone else can answer that.Gears of War has stopped working....
I have just installed GoW for PC and I have run into the exact same problem. It installed clean, however when I run the game it won't let me start the game says I'm not logged in. When I try to log in nothing happens. Also when I try to configure the display settings i can't get it any higher then 1280x768, but my default resolution is 1920x1200.My PC:Windows Vista Ultimate
Pentium Dual Core @ 2.0 Ghz
2 Gb Ram 1066Mhz
eVGA GeForce 8800 GTS SSC 640 Mb
LG Blu-Ray burnerEvery other game, COD4 aside runs mint. (Single player works but not Multiplayer PM for if you can help me).I seriously hope Epic will fix this problem soon

The Antec 300 = Good air flow + cable management?

Hey everyone.Until recently, I had myself set on buying the Antec 900, but now I have decided to save a bit of money and go with the Antec 300. I would just like to know, does the Antec 300 have good ventilation as well as enough room inside the case? Thanks everyoneThe Antec 300 = Good air flow + cable management?
anyone? The Antec 300 = Good air flow + cable management?
Good airflow=YesGood cable management=No
Good airflow=YesGood cable management=No
I disagree. I bought the Three Hundred a few weeks back because I was tired of LEDs flooding my computing space and I wanted a more efficient cooling solution. I'm VERY pleased with this case. It's very solid, very straightforward, and very useful. You'll want to buy 2-3 120mm fans with it, however, as it only comes with 2 fans (120 / 140mm). My case is very clean because you can tuck most cables being the HDD bay (has some fatty adjustable ties back there.I'd give it a solid A. Price - B+ (3 more fans added almost 30 bucks to my expense :P... go for the nice ones)
Construction - A+ (Very solid, PSU at bottom = more efficient, easier to work with and lower center of gravity)
Features - A (up to 4 x 120mm fans, 1 x 140m / 6 HDD bays / 3 Disc Drive bays / front fan filter / convenient front jacks)
Function - A+ (lots of room, solid cable management ability (for me anyway, modular psu makes it easy, runs cool and not too loud, and it just works - the side intake fan dominates the GPU with fresh air)It's got my seal of approval and a definite recommendation for any builder not concerned with blinging their case with LEDs. I may mod the side cover when I get some free time, though ;) Great case.
yep its a good solid casei got one for my bro the whole thing is well ventilated and comes with rear 120mm and top 140mm exhaust fans and has room for at least two more.Cable management isn't its strong point, its just like most standard cases but the PSU is located at the bottom if that helps
For the same price I would say the CoolerMaster RC 590 is a better choice, has better cable management and room for more fans.
hey I got that coming from amazon it looks hot for how cheap it is:)
For the same price I would say the CoolerMaster RC 590 is a better choice, has better cable management and room for more fans.
Almost double the price in the UK :S.
Antec lacks cable managment. But the 900 is bigger so it would be easier. My 900 is a mess as I havent got to cable management yet... but its much better air flow.
