Well this looks like the laptop my dad will be buying me is the VAIO FW. Seems to be pretty well reviewed. I personally would have gone with an Asus M50VM-B1 as it has more hardware and is cheaper.
My gripes of the FW are the ATI Mobility 3470 GPU, Price, and Sony's bloatware.
I am wondering if the 3470 will be able to run Starcraft 2 fairly well? I know Blizzard's games are not very graphically demanding. And most of my gaming is on 360 now anyway. How good is the 3470 in video editing and graphic design (incase i take a class in 3D graphics in college?)
any thoughts or comments on the Vaio FW would be appreciated. My dad is going with Sony due to the 18 months no payments or interest.Sony VAIO FW
I have installed WOW on this unit as a base game install. It plays and looks very good. As far as starcraft 2 is concerned, with the defaukt settings it should play just fine at a decent frame rate. The only gripe that I have is ATI's color saturation is a bit on the shallow side compared to NVIDIA's line. But all in all the card should be fine. Just don't try and play games like Crysis or Gears of war or you will be dissapointed
