I am doing a budget build So far I have the components listed below. Everything is up and running perfectly. Feel free to rate this build. I know most people prefer Intel now a days but I just couldn't pass up the price of the black box Brisbane. Total so far (without a video card) was ~$400 shipping included. Surprisingly, it actually can play many of the demos I tried with the on board graphics, but I am not interested in playing games on low. I want a system that will run MOST games on high for atleast a year or more.BIOSTAR TForce TF8200 A2+ AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 8200 HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard AMD Athlon 64 X2 5400+ Brisbane 2.8GHz Socket AM2 65W Dual-Core black edition Processor Model ADO5400DSWOFThis is overclocked to 3.2GHz. I have done some research and thought I had it nailed down which card I was going to get (4850) but the new price drops have me rethinking this. So below are the possibilities I have found. Feel free to add a different one and confuse me more =P if I missed a better one. Keep in mind I will not spend over $300 and would like to get the best bang for my buck. Maybe that means buying one of the higher end cards now and replacing it less frequently or maybe that means buying a cheaper card and replacing it sooner. For now and in the foreseeable future I will be running all games at 1680x1050. All prices are from NEWEGG. If you know of a better price somewhere else feel free to let me know. Video Card Advise and Rate my Build

GTX260
Another question came to mind. Will my power supply hold up to all of these cards? I found very few benchmarks with all of these cards on them, but it seemed the 9800Gx2 out performed on Crysis. Dont know about other games, and I am more interested in user opinions than benchmarks anyway.

However for that resolution you'll be fine with one single GTX260 for now.
For PSU get a Corsair TX-750W if you want SLI in future or if you decide to go with the 9800GX2, for a single GTX260, Corsair TX-650W is enough.
Nvidia would be better since your motherboard is nvidia chipset but if you get ati pro wont benifit from the onboard chipset unlessits a 780g or 790gx

In that case I might have to step the card down the 4850. I really dont want to replace my power supply as I just bought it =( It says on the ATI site that the 4850 only required a 450W powersupply maybe I would be good there.

And also, PC Power Supply and Cooling 750w is much better than the Corsair, and at your resolution Im sure you will max most games, except for crysis and future system killers, with a single 8800GT. If you want to ease the burden on yourself, just go for that, and keep on saving untill you can afford something better later along the line.
I keep flip flopping on this I was thinking now I might just go ahead and buy a new PSU and keep the one I have now to make a new comp for the wife.If I was go and buy a GTX260 is there anything else in my system specs that would hold me back? I guess the main thing I am asking is am I just a video card and PSU from having a killer system? Is there anything else that is concerning to you guys or would I have a system that would run even games like Crysis on high?
if you can re-stock 15% fee the powersupply id do it anytime and get a PSU Of Corsair at 750wats for 105$ quite high quality Build and 5 year Warranty is it ?
Yeah I thought about that I still can if I send it back tomarrow. I will do that or keep it for a office comp if eveyone agrees I am just a pSU and VC from a real gaming rig.
