3pin case fan but 4pin motherboard connection?

My parts for my new PC just arrived, but upon opening one of the case fans I found it has a 3pin connection whereas my motherboard has only a 4pin connection. Is there a converter I can plug into my power supply that will give me 2 extra 3pin connections so I can connect both fans into there?I checked at a store around here but they had no such converters, and he said it may be better to buy 4pin fans instead. The guy is a bit of a dip though... so I now pose the question to all of you. What would be better to do? With one of the fans already being opened (you couldn't tell the # of pins until you had it open) I doubt I can return it. If I can return it, I expect shipping will cost me as much as buying these converters, so it's not a matter of one option being cheaper.3pin case fan but 4pin motherboard connection?
You could always live with it. The 4th pin is most likely for automatic speed control. It should still work ok, and in speed fan or maybe in bios there ought to be a way of regulating when the fan comes on and off based on temperatures. On top of this, you ,ay find some additional software which will be capable of controlling fan speed in other ways.*edit* Sorry, misread your post. I guess you mean those molex connectors....Unless you do mean these connections, in which case the above still applies.3pin case fan but 4pin motherboard connection?
Try one of these. Cheap.
