I'm trying to look for a new graphic card that's cheap, good and can play Crysis at high settings.
I was thinking either BFG Geforce 8800GT 512MB (100$) or the XFX Geforce 8800GT 512MB -Alpha Dog Edition(200$)
I was leaning more onto the BFG side because it's half of the price of the Alpha dog edition.
but I'm not sure if it can play Crysis with playable fps.
If you guys know any other better cards to get which is also around that price range please help.
My computer has 2GB RAM and 3.42GHz so all I need is a good graphic card.
Also for some graphic cards I noticed that you have to connect it to you supply power, is it a hard thing to do?? Do you need to buy extra things or do they come with the graphic card??
Which graphic card to buy?
i have the evga 8800gt 512 and it can play crysis on high, i don't know why a bfg 8800gt wouldn't,and the performance difference between the alpha dog xfx card is not enough to justify an extra $100.Which graphic card to buy?
Zotac...an excellent company...you may want to check these cards out, should be in your price range....And yes, they need a 6-pin power connector that runs from your PSU to plug into the card. They up their warranties to a lifetime when you register their cards online.....check the reviews.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500004http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500006*+

I don't think they have a EVGA at the place im going to buy from. I dont need to play Crysis at 1600X1200 with everything set to high. around 1000x700 and mostly high settings is enough for me. Also I'm guessing that the BFG can run team fortress 2 at high settings with playable fps??

How do I know if a 6-pin power connector works in my computer? How do I know if my power supply has enough Watts to run the graphic card and do you have a video or any pictures showing how to connect it from your PSU to the graphic card??
sorry for the questions I need to know so I wont make a mistake
I went with the 9800 GTX and have only good things to say about it. Not only do I play crysis on high, its on high AND in High def! I'm in love with my PC.
