so i've always wondered if i could build a pc inside of a minifridge that i've modified to accommodate a pc so that i can overclock all of the components to an insane level. as far as the minifridge setup goes i'm thinking of starting out with a good fridge and first things first cutting a hole in the side of it and mounting a de-humidifier and a sealed reservoir that has an indicator for when it's getting full and allows you to drain it outside of the fridge without ever having to open it when it starts to get full. from there i would say hook everything up to a surge protector and battery backup mounted onto the back of the fridge. maybe mount some soft rubber stops with springs where i would mount the casing for the computer to the fridge, in case it ever gets bumped or moved around it will have some cushioning. from there it would be a normal pc build and overclocking everything to insane levels, and just leaving one side off of the computer casing so that it can release heat easier. and maybe putting in a tray of dessicant just as a backup to the dehumidifier. so let me hear your input. would this work or would it not? and if not why not and if so what can you tihnk of that i could do to make it better. Will this PC build work?
It will not work... because H2O will get inside the PC and then... You know what will happen...In other words your PC is swimming in the pool...Will this PC build work?
You could try this.Mineral Oil Cooling. :)
how is water going to get inside the cpu with a dehumidifier running inside of it?
bump. anyone got any asnwers on this?
