Price: $ 1279.20There are more... If you know what stuff to get you can customize your laptop.Processor: Gotta be Intel's Processors. T8100-T9600s, P8400-P9500s Anything from that you pick.Screen Size: 15. 4'' is good, 17'' is for gamers and video/movie buffs. Higher Resolution is good if you can afford it. Memory: You will need at Least 2GB of memory, must be DDR2. 3GB is better, 4GB (You'll need 64-bit OS for 4GB) Video Card: For ATI, Radeon 2600HD, 3450HD, 3650HD , For Nvidia go with 8600M, 8700M, 8800M, 9600M, 9700M, 9800M better to go with Nvidia also.Hard Drive: 200GB or more is preferred, but this is entirely up to youOptical Drive: You have to have a standard DVD drive, if you like Labelflash and LightScribe (Writes titles on burned CD/DVDs for you) go for it. Some offer Blu-ray, and if you can afford it, go for it.Operation System: Windows Vista Home Premium, Ultimate are good, 64bit if you have more than 3GB of memory Network: Pick Intel Wifi over others, 802.11 with a/g/n.Bluetooth: Again this is if you need/wantoneWebcam: If you need/want one FingerPrint Reader: If you need/want oneWarranty: Its highly suggested to get warranty, in case something is wrong. 1-2 year warranty is good, Spill damage warranty you if tend to be clumsy.Vist www.xoticpc.com for custom ones, under the Specs iI just told you.Vist www.notebookreview.com and post on their forums, Need to find a laptop, post in their layout and they will find the right notebook for you, under your budget.Good luck.
ASUS is a good laptop brand. I have offered many of my friends ASUS laptops. And they have great warranty. Get it! or Go to www.xoticpc.com and custom make your own ASUS G series Laptop.\The 8800M GTS is better than the 9700M GT/GS
