Can I get Vista running on this PC?

OK, basically my cousin wants to play a Korean game on his old PC, but doesn't have the required language pack to do so. I can't find my copy of XP that I installed on his computer to get the pack either. The only other way to play the game is to install Vista to get the packs. I am hesitant as the specs are low:Intel Pentium 4, 2.4GHz512MB of RAMATI Radeon 9800 128MB I can get a copy of Home Basic from a friend, and I have my copy of Ultimate which we can install. We downloaded the Upgrade Advisor, which says we can get Home Basic running, but Ultimate with Aero would be a problem (which I already knew). He'd rather Ultimate with Aero off than Home Basic, but if there are significant performance issues, he will go with Home Basic. The specs for the game are really low, so it won't have a big impact on the system:DirectX 864MB of RAMIntel Pentium 28MB video cardAlso, please don't suggest any solutions to the language pack problem, flame, etc., as I've already received that on other sites, and tried solutions from the game's forum. If you could just answer the question of getting Ultimate w/ Aero off, or just Home Basic, running on that machine, I'd appreciate itThanks. Can I get Vista running on this PC?
I wouldnt recommend you install vista on any computer that has less than 2gb of RAM. Unless you want an extreme slowdown compared to xp. Can I get Vista running on this PC?
Why not just install at see for yourself? I wouldn't personally run it at 512MB... But if you could possible upgrade that machine to 1GB it probably wouldn't do too badly. You do not need 2GB to not have ''extreme slowdown'', not imo anyway... unless your playing newer games.
No.
Definitely not a good idea. I think it would likely slow you down significantly.
It wont run well, Vista is a memory pig. My Vista is currently using 741mb of my 2gb of ram, and all im doing is using Firefox.
No way kiddo, U ain't got the speed of the processor, nor do u have the memory for running vista, nor have you the graphics processing for windows aero. Time for a new computer.
