Boot up issue...

Every time i turn on my computer it boots into a black screen stating info about voltages and fans ect. It sits for a minute, then asks me to select or insert boot media device (aka vista im guessing), but its all a bunch of lieeees! In reality, all i need to do is hit the restart button and it reboots properly into vista w/o asking for this. All in all i guess its not a problem, but an annoyance, and im sure restarting my computer from powerup rather than shutdown everyday will only lead to further problems down the road. Any idea what this is? Suggestions? Possibly a wipeout and just reinstalling vista to fix this problem?Running on...VTek 4870, intel quad q6600, Biostar Tforce tp43d2a7 MoBo, West dig 7200rpm hd, 4gb g.skill ddr2 ram. 650w corsair psu, liteon dvdbrn Any questions about the specs just lmk, its my first build so im pretty new but i get the jist of it.Boot up issue...
If no ones got a clue just lmk so i can re install rather than searching and waiting for hrs :)Boot up issue...
the black screen you see is the post screen, and when you see (select or insert boot media device) it may be because the setting to boot from the primary HDD is set to boot to other component first, the pc checks that and finds no OS, that's why it says (select or insert boot media device)you need to go to the bios and set the HDD with windows as primary, so when it boot, it will find that firstcheck here for more infohttp://compreviews.about.com/cs/pchardwarebasics/a/aaBIOS_2.htm
See thats the part i don't understand, theres no os in there but im running on it right now. I don't know much about bios so its fairly confusing. There are Hard drive, SATA, and DVD/CD. Looking up on it right now but if theres a qiuck answer then id rather hear from someone here.
Bump.
get in the bios n look for ''first boot device'' then make it the HDD.
