2 HD4870 1024mb Cards crossfired versus the HD4870x2

Hi please can anyone help scouring the web for the answer to this.........I have two HD4870 1024mb on order taking ages seem to be out of stock everywhere anyway I intend to cf them however can only find benchmarking on the 512s crossfired so now i'm reading all about the 4870x2 2GB and wondering should I go for it instead I'd love to see the benchmarking comparison anyone any idea?? Well thanks for the advise youre the only one who offered any but I'd still like to see the 1024mb HD4870 cf benchmarked any ideas?
i cant find any benches but it performs the same as the 512mb only 3-4 fps better
get the 4870X2 instead.
